At New York University, the book Vicky Tauli-Corpuz: A Path to Justice for Indigenous Peoples was presented.
As part of the closing of the International Seminar on strengthening human rights and the political leadership of Indigenous Women, held at New York University, the International Indigenous Women’s Forum (FIMI) and Pawanka Fund presented the book Vicky Tauli-Corpuz: A Path to Justice for Indigenous Peoples.
The event took place at New York University and brought together participants, allies, and representatives committed to defending the rights of Indigenous Peoples and strengthening the leadership of Indigenous Women, who are participating in the framework of the 25th Session of the Permanent Forum on Indigenous Issues.
The book presentation was a space to honor the trajectory, leadership, and contributions of Vicky Tauli-Corpuz to the struggles of Indigenous Peoples worldwide. One of the central messages of the gathering was the dedication, commitment, and continuity of a struggle that remains alive not only within her community and family, but also among Indigenous women across the world and in new generations.
